What is VBS?
Vacation Bible School (or VBS as we like to call it!) is an opportunity for kids to gather together and learn about the love of Jesus Christ in a fun and exciting environment. Each VBS session has an engaging theme that combines lessons together with science, crafts, music, recreation, drama, food and fellowship.
When is VBS?
VBS is typically offered in June or July for a series of five evenings, usually Sunday through Thursday. Our programming culminates the following Sunday (known as "VBS Sunday") with the kids leading worship. After the service, families are invited to stay for a cookout and activities on the lawn.
For summer 2024, VBS will be begin on Monday, June 10 and go through Friday, June 14. Each evening will start at 6pm end at 8pm. Our VBS Sunday celebration will also be held on the evening of Friday, June 14. Families and friends are invited to join us for a meal and short program, highlighting the special moments from the week.

VBS is open to children age three though 5th grade. (Students 6th grade and older are encouraged to volunteer.) Advance registration is preferred however walk-ins are always welcome. You do not need to be Presbyterian or even Christian to attend. Registration will open after Easter for summer of 2025.
Does it cost to go to VBS?
VBS at Covenant is always FREE for all to attend!
Where does VBS take place?
All activities will take place at onsite (1025 28th Street, WDM) with most of the fun happening inside our church building. If weather permits, we love to play games on the church lawn and utilize the playground located on our property. When arriving for VBS, park in the east parking lot (entrance off Ashworth) and enter through the main sanctuary doors on the east side of the building.
Do parents stay?
Most parents do not stay for VBS but adults are always welcome. We understand if you and/or your child are more comfortable being at VBS together.
Can I volutneer at VBS?
Absolutely! Volunteers are crucial to the success of our VBS week. To learn more about volunteering, email [email protected]. All volunteers will need to be vetted through our SafeChurch Policy before working with children at any of our programs.
