WILLIAM BEYER, MUSIC LEADER

​My name is William.  Music is my life, in fact it has been my life for most of my life!  I am a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Theory-Composition.  I joined the staff of Covenant in March, 2013 and work with the Chancel Choir, serve as the organist, and help guide the musical talents of the children. I teach at three schools in the Des Moines School District and launched a successful campaign of getting donated instruments to under-privileged children.  It is said I bring a lot of energy and excitement to the musical experiences at Covenant and, if that isn’t enough for you, I am a former Starbucks Coffee barista and can serve a good brew.  I am married to the love of my life who also teaches music in the Des Moines School District and together we share the joy of “Roman” our boxer-mix dog.  Whatever your talent or interest, in the musical life of Covenant there is a place for you.  Come and join us!  Make music a part of your life, too!
