| In 1956, the Presbytery of Des Moines saw the development and growth of West Des Moines and began to a study for the feasibility of starting a new church development there. Finding sufficient interest, they bought a Manse at 8200 Buffalo Road, which was also used for services and Sunday School. The Service of Organization was held on Thursday, Aprill11, 1957, with 75 persons as Charter Members. The organizing Pastor, Rev. Ted Madsen was issued a call to become the first Pastor.
